This patient was unhappy with the appearance of her veneer on the upper right lateral incisor. After a thorough consultation to explore all available options, we agreed that replacing it with a direct composite veneer was the best solution.
To achieve the best result, we started with a course of Invisalign to close the gap between the patient’s two central incisors, which had been exposed after removing the previous veneer. Once we had created the correct amount of space by repositioning the central incisors, we proceeded with placing the new veneer.
While composite veneers are often considered to have less aesthetic appeal compared to ceramic veneers, by following the right polishing protocol, we were able to achieve an impressive result. The patient was extremely happy with the final outcome.
Though composite veneers may be perceived as less durable or aesthetic than ceramic veneers, with careful attention to detail, they can provide excellent results. In this case, the patient received a beautiful and natural-looking smile transformation.
Invisalign was a key part of this treatment because it allowed us to discreetly and comfortably move the patient’s teeth to the ideal position before placing the veneer. Invisalign offers a more flexible and less invasive alternative to traditional braces, making it a popular choice for patients seeking a subtle way to correct alignment issues. The clear aligners are virtually invisible and can be easily removed, offering both convenience and effectiveness. By closing the gap between the central incisors, Invisalign created the perfect foundation for the new veneer, ensuring a long-lasting and aesthetically pleasing result.
